RECAP: Daniel Boulud is a troublemaker, but you already knew that. :) Chefs and Champagne kicked off in a monster tent in the Hamptons w/ Mercedes Benz automobiles sprawled all over the lawn. Over 40 Chefs were on hand to present their culinary creations. The winners? Without a doubt, the Beef Kebab w/ Chipotle Mayo from Chef Jehangir Mehta of Mehtaphor and Graffiti fame. UPDATE JUN13: After hearing so many good things about this market, we finally made it over there. This place is not to be confused with Fulton Street Market, which is two blocks South. Both Markets are outside, but the New Amsterdam Market was a feast for the senses, so much that we couldn’t leave empty handed. From Blue Bottle Coffee to Luke’s Lobster to Farm to Table Vegetables to Lavender Kombucha, many items were hard to resist. PICS HERE | JEFF COOKS FARM TO TABLE DINNER

Event – Go Gaga Look-A-Like Competition @ LES JUN4

A Go Gaga Look-Alike Competition will be held as a part of the festivities. Lady Gaga look-alikes will compete for the crown of best Lady Gaga impersonator. With Lady Gaga as a former resident of the Lower East Side, competitors are encouraged to incorporate items from the Lower East Side into their costumes, which can be replicas of Lady Gaga’s real outfits, or original costumes that evoke Lady Gaga’s look.
