Event – Wong Friends & Family SEP6-7 – we’ll be there

UPDATE: A hodge podge of Asian influences is the first thing we noticed upon glancing the Friends & Family menu. While nothing is particularly a reach, the menu is safe, but in a good way. The lobster egg foo young reminded us of a sisig, minus the acid. The Cornelia drink was a great Signature Cocktail and epitomizes the arrival of Fall weather. PICS HERE
Event – Roberta’s PopUp @ BMW Guggenheim Cafe AUG3

Chef Carlo Mirarchi has been on a positive media streak these days, and with good reason. He’s received mention for best new chef and after trying his food, you will find out quickly why. How do we know? We’ve had his tasting menu. It’s pretty damn good, actually. Whether it be at Taste of the Nation or Omnivore Master Classes, he’s ubiquitious these days. We consider Carlo a MASTER of red meats, so you should definitely check this out! MORE INFO

As expected, the Surf N’ Turf booths fared better than others, with lines amassing 30+ at any given time. We caved and tried a little of everything, but mostly land and sea creatures as well. Fizzy Lizzy, Kitchenette, and Ciao Bella were on hand for drinks and desserts. PICS HERE
