UPDATE: A hodge podge of Asian influences is the first thing we noticed upon glancing the Friends & Family menu. While nothing is particularly a reach, the menu is safe, but in a good way. The lobster egg foo young reminded us of a sisig, minus the acid. The Cornelia drink was a great Signature Cocktail and epitomizes the arrival of Fall weather. PICS HERE

A new Asian restaurant is coming to the West Village this fall. According to Eater, Chef Simpson Wong is planning to open the doors of Wong sometime in August or early September.
Wong, who’s notable for manning the back of the house at Jefferson, Jefferson Grill and later Cafe Asean, is getting a bit more refined with his newest endeavor. While the menu will be influenced mainly by Southeast Asia, Wong will also offer “cross-cultural items like freshly baked Naan flatbreads and a variety of sashimi.
