Now that the northern end of the High Line is open, so is the Lot on Tap, Colicchio and Sons’ outdoor beer garden and food truck court, set up in the shade underneath the park at the northernmost end (30th St. and 10th Ave.).
Two generous-size bars serve up local beer on tap, including Brooklyn High Line Elevated Wheat (via a ticket system; you buy tickets at a separate kiosk); and in today’s 90-plus-degree heat there was a good-size crowd relaxing with a cold one in the shade. (There’s wine, too.)
Today’s two food trucks were the Taco Truck and Red Hook Lobster Pound; expect to see more, such as Taim Mobile and Coolhaus, in the coming days and weeks.
And after you’re sated with food and drink, you can feast your eyes, too, on the adjacent art exhibit “Rainbow City” by Miami artists Friends With You.
